Friends and neighbors are invited to attend the second annual community bonfire at East Petersburg Mennonite Church, 6279 Main St., East Petersburg, on Friday, Oct. 30, at 7 p.m. Families and individuals will be welcome to stop by and warm up by the fire pits as they are out trick-or-treating or to drop in as they wish.
The event will offer a variety of activities for all ages free of charge. Children may enjoy barrel train rides, a bounce house, and the creations of a professional balloon artist. There will also be baked goods, coffee, and hot apple cider available for everyone.
"This event is an intentional effort at impromptu fun through connecting with our community and conversation around the fire," said associate pastor Jeff McLain. "East Petersburg Mennonite Church is a community learning to live and love like Jesus in East Petersburg. We love being part of our neighborhood and look forward to this night with our neighbors."
