Lancaster Public Library has announced the opening of a Little Free Library at McDonald's at 210 W. King St., Lancaster. The Little Free Library offers books for children, young adults and adults in a variety of genres in an effort to support literacy in the community for children and adults of all ages.
Community members may borrow a book from the Little Free Library or bring a book to share. Free libraries are often placed in public spaces to be available to anyone at any time. Free libraries may also be called community book exchanges, pop-up libraries, or micro-libraries. The new Lancaster Little Free Library is a part of a network of more than 40,000 registered Little Free Library book exchanges in all 50 U.S. states and more than 70 countries around the world.
