Display Of Student Artwork Slated

The Demuth Museum, 120 E. King St., Lancaster, will continue its 15th annual Art in a Box Exhibition through Friday, Dec. 30. The exhibition features artwork by students from schools participating in the Demuth's free education program called Art in a Box, which teaches aspiring artists about Charles Demuth's pioneering artwork and life in Lancaster.

Nearly 100 area students in elementary through high school are displaying their Demuth-inspired artworks in the exhibition. Schools contributing to this year's exhibition include Buchanan Elementary School, Donegal Primary School, Donegal Intermediate School, East York Elementary School, La Academia Partnership Charter School, Lancaster Country Day School, Landis Run Intermediate School and Manheim Township Middle School.

An opening reception was held at the museum on Dec. 4.

The museum's hours are Tuesdays to Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m. To learn more, readers may call 299-9940 or visit http://www.demuth.org.
