Ben Franklin's BIG IDEA Contest is open to entrepreneurs in Lancaster and Lebanon counties. The prize money will offer an opportunity to put cash into a startup, with additional benefits including business mentoring, networking opportunities, and feedback from experts.
Individuals who have been thinking about developing or commercializing an innovative product, process, or new software application are encouraged to enter the contest. The contest is seeking budding entrepreneurs, researchers, software developers, or even small existing businesses.
Winners can win up to $50,000 in cash, a six-month membership/working space in the BF TechCelerator at TheCandyFactory, a one-year pass to seminars offered by Ben Franklin's eMarketing Learning Center valued at $3,000, and a free consult (and proposal prep) valued at $3,000 on how to access federal research and development grant money from the Innovation Partnership.
