Bowmansville Days will take place from Friday to Sunday, Aug. 12 to 14, at Bowmansville Memorial Park, located along Church Street.
On Aug. 12 and 13, food and game stands will be open. The food offerings will include pastries, french fries, walking tacos, meatball sandwiches, pulled pork sandwiches, fruit bowls, coffee, ice cream, fish sandwiches and snow cones. Beverages will also be available. The following organizations will offer food and games: St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Fivepointville Ambulance Service/EMS 36, Pine Grove Church, Bowmansville Fire Company, CMA, Bowmansville Boy Scout Troop 121 and Terre Hill Cub Scouts Pack 172.
On Aug. 12, Adamstown Rod & Gun Club will offer trout chowder from 4 p.m. until the food is sold out. Other activities will include bingo from 5 to 10 p.m., the annual quoits tournament at 6 p.m., Cruise Night - 50s and 60s, and music by The Nomads from 6 to 10 p.m. The Cruise Night will be "'50s and '60s"
On Saturday, Aug. 13, activities will include the Ox Trot 5-Mile Run at 8 a.m., Adamstown Rod and Gun Club's chicken barbecue at 10 a.m., bingo from 2 to 10 p.m., the 11th annual candy scramble for ages 1 to 12 at 2 p.m., and Middle Creek Search and Rescue K9 Team live demonstrations from 3 to 9 p.m. The craft and vendor show will begin at 10 a.m.
The seventh annual Kiddie Tractor Pull will take place at 3:30 p.m. Children will be separated into the following age groups: 3 to 4, 5 to 6, and 7 to 8. Trophies and ribbons will be awarded. To register, readers may call Jessie Sensenig at 587-3994.
The Bowmansville Band will perform from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Dan Emrey will perform three sets between 6 and 10 p.m. The auction will begin at 7 p.m., and it will benefit the Bowmansville Fire Company.
On Aug. 14, a community church service will be held at 10 a.m. under the bingo tent. Attendees may bring lawn chairs.
