Community Blood Drives Posted September 27, 2017

LG Health will sponsor community blood drives throughout Lancaster County. Blood donors must be age 16 or older and weigh at least 110 pounds. Blood that is collected stays in Lancaster County to benefit members of the community. All donors will be asked to present picture identification when they arrive to donate at all LGH blood drives. Appointments are not required.

Lions Club To Host Blood Drive September 21, 2017

The Manheim Lions Club, along with the Central Pennsylvania Blood Bank, will hold a blood drive during the Manheim Farm Show. It has been scheduled to take place on Friday, Oct. 13, from 3 to 7 p.m. in the Exhibition Center. Directional signs will be posted.

Anyone who donates will receive a free admission ticket to a local seasonal attraction and a coupon for a discount on a ham and cheese sandwich at the Manheim Lions Club booth.

Centennial Church Posts Schedule September 6, 2017

Centennial Lutheran Church, 1330 Hares Hill Road, Kimberton, has posted its schedule of events.

On Sunday, Sept. 17, there will be a worship service at 9:30 a.m. The service will include a message from pastor Jerry Tancredi and the celebration of Holy Communion. Sept. 17 will be Rally Day, kicking off the fall programs. On Rally Day, the church will dedicate its new sign, and a pancake breakfast will follow the worship service.

The church will hold a Red Cross blood drive on Monday, Sept. 18, from 2 to 7 p.m.

All men are welcome to attend a men's breakfast on Saturday, Sept. 30, from 9 a.m. to noon. The event will include food, coffee, and topical conversation.

Registration is now open for crafters to reserve tables for the church's 25th annual Christmas Crafts Festival, which will be held on Saturday, Nov. 11. Crafters may contact the church office for a registration form.

Church Posts Schedule August 23, 2017

Centennial Lutheran Church, 1330 Hares Hill Road, Kimberton, has posted its schedule of activities.

On Sunday, Sept. 3, there will be a worship service at 9:30 a.m. The service will include a message from pastor Jerry Tancredi and the celebration of Holy Communion.

Jaime Frazier, the church's new coordinator of faith development, will be installed during the worship service on Sunday, Sept. 10. Frazier will provide youth and family enrichment opportunities with the purpose of bringing the message of Christ's love into the lives of Centennial's children, youths, and adults.

On Sunday, Sept. 17, Rally Day will kick off the fall programs and will include the dedication of the new church sign. A pancake breakfast will follow the worship service.

Food Drive, Blood Drive Announced March 29, 2017

The third Feed the Need Food Drive and a community blood drive have been announced.

During the past two food drives, Feed the Need has provided more than 5,000 pounds of food to Water Street Mission at a time when the holiday food drive donations begin to run out. This year, proponents hope to donate another 3,000 pounds of food or more to the mission. Community members may drop off food items during normal business hours at any HARTZ Physical Therapy office, including locations at 100 Highlands Drive, Suite 100, Lititz; 90 Good Drive, Suite 201, Lancaster; and 1635 W. Main St., Suite 500, Ephrata. Water Street Mission will use the food to serve free meals and provide free pantry items to men, women, and children in need.

A community blood drive will take place on Tuesday, April 11, at HARTZ Physical Therapy, 100 Highlands Drive, Suite 100, Lititz, from 2 to 6 p.m. Donations will be used to stock the Lancaster Blood Bank.
