Garber Named To PSAC First Team June 15, 2017

Brianna Garber, former Lampeter-Strasburg softball standout, in her first year of softball at West Chester University, was named First Team All PSAC (Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference) and Freshman of the Year in the East Division of the PSAC.

Garber highlighted the selections by compiling a batting average of .383 (70-for-183) with 39 runs scored and seven extra-base hits. She also successfully stole 13 of 15 bases on the year. Garber accumulated better than a .400 on-base percentage in her first year. The freshman outfielder walked ten times. She also hit .420 in Conference play, collecting 21 hits in 17 games.

West Chester finished with a record of 48-13 and came within one game of making the College World Series. The Rams won their first PSAC Championship in school history and won the Northeast Regional before losing in the Super Regionals against West Virginia Wesley.

During her senior year at L-S, Garber helped lead the Pioneers' softball team to a second place finish in the PIAA State finals.

Brianna is the daughter of Todd and Diana Garber.
