Longeneckers Celebrate 70th Anniversary February 1, 2019
Glenn and Geraldine Longenecker of Mount Joy celebrated their 70th anniversary on Jan. 23. Their celebration included a card shower.
They were married on Jan. 23, 1949, in Middletown by the Rev. Howard Burtner.
They are the parents of Glenda Rae Muehling of Mount Joy and Gary Lee Longenecker of Rockville, Va. They have four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mr. Longenecker is retired from J.C. Snavely Lumber in Landisville. Mrs. Longenecker is retired from the banking industry.

The groom is the son of Randall Harkins. He graduated from United Township High School in 2006 and attended Black Hawk College in Illinois. He is self-employed as a general contractor and real estate investor.
The matron of honor was Sarah Height of Memphis. Bridesmaids were Faith Mong of Palmyra; Meredith Endy of Hummelstown, sister of the bride; Jackie Endy of Hummelstown, sister of the bride; and Lynsey Harkins of Nashville, Tenn., sister-in-law of the bride. The flower girl was Eleanor Height of Memphis, daughter of the matron of honor. Serving as best man was Daniel Franz of Columbus, Ind. Groomsmen were Noel Fenderson of Memphis; Wade Russell of Nashville; and Daniel Cline of Memphis. The ring bearer was Brayden Hamrick of Memphis, nephew of a groomsman.

Charles is the son of the late Clarence and Mary Riley. He is retired from Cole Steel.
Judy is the daughter of the late Carl and Norma Jean Harding. She is retired from Kemp's Food, formerly known as Green's Dairy.
Charles and Judy are the parents of two sons, Charles E. and Robert C., both of York, and they have one grandson, Charles E. Jr. of York.

Larry and Shirley A. Kendig of Wrightsville celebrated their 50th anniversary on Dec. 17, 2018. The couple had brunch with family members at the Eden Resort.
The Kendigs were married on Dec. 14, 1968.
They are the parents of Carey Kendig of Marietta, Sheila Hartman of Elizabethtown and Lisa Albert of Mount Joy. There are five grandchildren.
Larry is retired from Wilbur Chocolate in Mount Joy.
Shirley is a homemaker.

The groom is the son of David and Geralyn Fuller of Stewartstown. He graduated from York Catholic High School in 2010 and Rochester Institute of Technology in 2014. He is an engineering manager at Adobe in Manhattan, N.Y.
The flower girl was Geraldine Snyder of Stewartstown, grandmother of the groom.

The gown, designed by the bride, was botanically inspired and created by Anomalie, a company that custom makes wedding gowns. The shoes, also designed by the bride, were created by Harriet Wilde of London, England. The bride carried a bouquet of soft roses and dahlias in maroon, plum and cream.
Providing music for the ceremony was the Highline String Quartet.
The reception took place at The Boathouse at Prospect Park.
After a wedding trip to Thailand and Taiwan, the couple resides in Manhattan, N.Y.

Couple Celebrates 50th Anniversary January 14, 2019
Barbara (Childs) and Rick Gerz recently celebrated their 50th anniversary. They attended a Christmas show at American Music Theatre and then enjoyed a dinner hosted by their children at a local restaurant.
The couple was married on Dec. 28, 1968, at St. Philip's Church, Millersville.
Barbara and Rick are the parents of Melissa, wife of Chris Dissinger, Lancaster; Michelle, wife of Dan Kerns, Bethlehem; and Matthew, fiance of April Hartman, Maytown. They are the grandparents of Matthew, Andrew, Tyler, Nicholas, Chase, and Mia.
