Grandview Sings! Community Children's Choir is continuing its sixth season, and membership in the choir is open to all local children in grades one through five. The choir meets on Mondays from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Grandview United Methodist Church, 888 Pleasure Road, Lancaster. Singers do not need to be affiliated with the church to participate in the community choir; all are welcome.
The choir sings sacred and secular music from various traditions and performs in public concerts at the church and in the community. Musical games and activities are part of the choir experience, as well.
The Grandview Sings! Community Children's Choir was established in September 2013 to reach out to the community and provide opportunities for children who enjoy expressing themselves through singing. The choir is led by Cindy McGary, who has more than 25 years of experience directing choirs with members of all ages. Cindy Kahler is the pianist for the choir.
