The Wedding Planner: What was the first thing you did when you began to plan your wedding? What inspired you to start there?

Ellie: The first thing we did was pick a venue. I started there so we would be able to know what the date of the wedding would be since it was planned in a short amount of time.

TWP: How did you select the attire of the members of the wedding party?

Ellie: I always knew what colors I wanted to do for the wedding and the type of dresses I wanted, so I tried to find places that had something similar.

TWP: How did you incorporate the tastes and personalities of both the bride and the groom into the wedding?

Ellie: John really did not have much to do with the planning of the wedding, because he did not really care about the details, but rather just wanted it to be what I wanted. The car that we drove off in was the only thing that my husband really planned.

TWP: What did you find to be the biggest challenge in planning a wedding?

Ellie: Staying within budget. You had to learn how to prioritize what is most important to you both to spend money on, since weddings are already expensive to start.

TWP: What is the most important piece of advice you have for other brides and grooms planning a wedding?

Ellie: Take a couple minutes for the two of you to be alone on your wedding day. Make sure to take your time to enjoy the day.
