Students Raise Money For Hurricane Relief

Pequea Valley High School and Intermediate School learned about Hurricane Harvey by watching a video that was produced by the current affairs class. The video highlighted the devastation and destruction that took place in the Houston area as a result of the hurricane. Both high school and intermediate school students wanted to help.

The high school Student Council assembled a fund drive at lunch and raised more than $200. Intermediate school students raised nearly $300 with their "Hats for Houston" campaign that allowed students to wear hats for the day. The funds were used to buy cases of water and bleach to send to Houston. A local business donated a trailer to move the supplies, which left the same day for Houston.
