Library Posts Programs

Kreutz Creek Library (KCL), 66 Walnut Springs Road, York, will offer programs and services to the community. Registration is required. For details and registration, visit http://www.yorklibraries.org.

Several story time programs will be offered. Baby and Toddler Story Time for children from birth to age 2 will be held from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. on Wednesdays, Jan. 18 to March 8. Preschool Story Times for children ages 3 to 5 will run from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. on Fridays, Jan. 20 through March 10.

Blackout Poetry Workshop for Teens ages 13 to 18 will be held on Saturday, Jan. 7, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Teen Area. Participants may create an original poem that can be submitted for the library's Celebration of Poetry contest. All supplies will be included. Drop-ins are welcome.

Tween Programs for teens ages 9 to 12 will be held on Tuesdays, Jan. 10 and 17, from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. The Danger Club will meet on Jan. 10, and the Library Squad will meet on Jan. 17 to shape library programs for tweens.

Spoiler Alert for teens ages 13 to 18 will be held virtually on Thursday, Jan. 19. The program will take place on Zoom from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Stitch and Chat, a group of needleworkers, will meet on Thursdays, Jan. 5 and 19, from 6 to 7:45 p.m. and on Jan. 17 from 1 to 2:45 p.m. Attendees will meet in the Community Room.

Reiki Meditation with Miranda will be offered on Jan. 5 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Community Room.

York Chess Club will gather from 6 to 8 p.m. on Jan. 10 and 17 in the Community Room. Attendees will play chess, learn tips on how to improve their game, and meet like-minded people. People of all ages and experience levels are welcome.

The Green Thumb Garden Talk will be held from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 12, in the Community Room. The program will be announced prior to the meeting.

The Friends of Kreutz Creek Library Branch Support Group will gather at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 24, in the Community Room.

The Cookbook Discussion Group will meet on Thursday, Jan. 26, from 6 to 7:45 p.m. in the Community Room. The theme will be "Soups and Stews," and attendees should bring a prepared dish that is sweet or savory, along with a copy of the recipe.
