The Lancaster County Bird Club (LCBC) will offer field trips in April. The programs are free and open to the public, and registration is required by 6 p.m. on the day before the trip.

A group will visit Memorial Lake and the surrounding area in Lebanon County at 7 a.m. on Saturday, April 11, to look for American woodcocks and other early migrants, along with water birds. To register, contact Jonathan Heller at 717-940-6067 or jonathan.heller@comcast.net.

Birders with any level of experience, including beginners, may gather at Riverfront Park in Marietta on Sunday, April 12, to look for waterbirds on the Susquehanna River, along with spring migrants and raptors. Also on April 12, a wildflower-centered bird walk will be held at Shenk's Ferry in Conestoga, with a 7 a.m. start. Participants should meet at the Safe Harbor Park tennis courts. This activity is limited to 15 participants. To register, contact Cammy Freed at 717-368-1979 or cameala@gmail.com.

The LCBC will offer a program at Safe Harbor Park on Saturday, April 18, at 8 a.m. The focus will be on different habitats and hot spots within the area. Participants may keep an eye out for yellow-throated warblers, palm warblers, white-eyed vireos, fox sparrows, and more. To register, contact Carl Groff at 717-471-9969 or fledge19@verizon.net.
