Walk the Seasons: Spring will take place on Friday, April 24, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Participants will tour the wild gardens, meadows, and forests of the Horn Farm Center and may encounter wildflowers and host plants; seasonal wild foods; butterflies, moths, and other pollinators; and leaves to practice identification skills. Other topics will include basics of local ecology, seasonal plant identification, historic changes to the landscape, ecological restoration and wild-tending practices, ethical foraging and wildcrafting, connecting with nature in all spaces, recognizing and addressing common outdoor worries, and tips for treading safely and responsibly outdoors.

Stinging Nettle: Foraging & Tasting will be held on Thursday, April 23, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Stinging nettle has a long history of use as food, medicine, and natural plant cordage. The program will explore the plant's history, ecology, identification, and harvest, and attendees will find stinging nettle on the farm and do some preparation and tasting. Participants should bring a drawing pad and pencil and a cup for tasting tea, and they should dress for muddy ground. Each attendee will receive fresh stinging nettle leaves for tea preparation at home.

The Many Tastes of Mulberry: History & Foraging will take place on Tuesday, April 28, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The webinar will focus on the history of the mulberry and why it is so pervasive in the area. Topics covered will include mulberry identification, ecology, and natural history; differences between the white mulberry and the native red mulberry; historic uses of mulberry in agriculture, wildcrafting, and foraging; and mulberry's role in local history, from the Colonial era through the early 20th century.
