Lititz Library Posts Schedule

The library will be closed on Saturday, July 4.

Members of the Blanketeers will gather to create blankets of various kinds for Project Linus on Tuesdays, July 7 and 21, at 2 p.m.

The library will offer several ongoing programs. These activities include Knitting Club, for knitters and crocheters, on Mondays, July 6 and 20, at 10 a.m. and Tuesdays, July 14 and 28, at 6 p.m.; Baked Books Club on July 14 at 2 p.m.; Lititz Game Club, for players age 10 and older, on Wednesdays, July 1 and 15, at 4:30 p.m.; Astronomy Enthusiasts of Lancaster County on July 1 at 6:30 p.m.; Painting Club on Wednesdays, July 8 and 22, at 12:30 p.m.; Lego Club, for children ages 6 to 10, on Saturday, July 18, at 10 a.m.; Great Decisions Discussion Group on July 8 at 6:30 p.m.; Writing Club on Monday, July 20, at 1 p.m.; Red Rose Quilters Guild of Lancaster Embroidery Mini Group on July 22 at 1:30 p.m.; Genealogy Club on July 15 at 6:30 p.m.; Accessible Yoga with Black Cat Yoga on July 14 at 6:30 p.m. and Friday, July 24, at 10 a.m.; Books, Naturally: A Nature Lover's Book Club on July 28 at 2 p.m.; and Sewcial Sewing Club on Wednesday, July 29, at 6 p.m.

The featured book for the Summer StoryWalk is "Tiny T. Rex and the Impossible Hug" by Jonathan Stutzman.

During the Paws to Read program, children may read stories to trained therapy dogs. The program will be offered on Thursday, July 9, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.; July 14 from 1 to 2:30 p.m.; Thursday, July 23, from 10 to 11 a.m.; and July 28 from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

A concert featuring the Anna Alexander Trio will take place on July 9 at 6:30 p.m. The group will perform jazz music and a few modern songs.

Adult Americana Show & Tell will be held on Thursday, July 16, at 6 p.m. Attendees may bring an antique, collectible, or vintage item to share with others. Light refreshments will be served.

Adult Dungeons & Dragons will take place on Monday, July 27, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Beginners and experienced players are welcome.

The Lititz Art Association will meet on July 28 at 6 p.m.

A Crazy Cat People Party for adults will take place on Thursday, July 30, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Cat lovers can get together, share stories, and socialize. The program will involve watching cat videos, sharing funny cat photos and stories, making cat crafts, and decorating Oreos to look like cats. Representatives of the Pet Pantry of Lancaster County will share information about the organization, and a donation drive for the pet pantry will run from July 27 to 30.

Children's American Sign Language Class will be offered for children ages 8 to 12 on Mondays through July 13 from 10 to 11 a.m. Children are encouraged to attend every session.

Robotics with Arts and Crafts will take place for youths ages 10 to 14 on July 6 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The program will combine creativity with engineering as participants explore basic robotics through hands-on projects.

Book Buddies will meet on Tuesdays through July 14 at 10 a.m. Children age 3 and older will hear a story as a group, read with a buddy, and make a craft.

Be Internet Awesome, for children ages 7 to 12, will be held on July 8 at 10 a.m.

Bunch of Bubbles, for people of all ages, will take place on July 13 at 6 p.m.

Author Amanda Rowe will visit on July 16 at 10 a.m. and share her children's picture book "If There Never Was a You." The program is for children age 2 and older.

Wacky Wednesday: Hooray for the USA! will take place on July 15 at 1 p.m.

A Duct Tape Craft program will be offered on Friday, July 17, at 1 p.m. for children age 9 and older. Supplies will be provided to make the craft.

Sam Leamer, a historian and re-enactor, will present a Revolutionary War for Kids program on July 20 at 1 p.m. The program is for children age 8 and older.

The PA Game Commission will present a program on endangered species, including habitats, threats, and conservation efforts, on July 21 at 10 a.m. The program is for children ages 5 to 12.

Use the Force will be held on July 21 at 6 p.m. for children in kindergarten through fifth grade. Rand Whipple from Box of Light will show children how force is used every day through physics.

Zoo America Visits the Library, for children age 5 and older, will take place on July 22 at 6 p.m.

The Lancaster Creative Factory will teach canvas painting for people age 8 and older on July 23 at 1 p.m.

Critter Connections, for people of all ages, will take place on July 27 at 10:30 a.m.

Dungeons & Dragons for teens will be held on July 28 at 4 p.m. Beginners and experienced players are welcome.

A Steelpan Workshop presented by Music for Everyone will take place on July 29 at 1 p.m. The program is for youths ages 6 to 16.

Author Eddie Hall will visit on July 30 at 10 a.m. He will share about his newest book, "Lighthouse," a picture book about a lighthouse with a steady light that endures through storms, distance, and time.

Ed Klein will present Art of Animation on Friday, July 31, at 1:30 p.m. The program is for children ages 6 to 14.
