The Manheim Borough Police Department will host a National Night Out event on Tuesday, Aug. 4, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Manheim Farm Show Complex, 502 E. Adele Ave. The event celebrates police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.

National Night Out will feature a bounce house, an obstacle course, the Piper Belle's BBQ and Twisted Sisters Ice Cream food trucks, and a snack and coffee stand run by Hope Served. First responders will be on hand and will display their equipment. Additional local nonprofit organizations will be represented, including the Manheim Community Library, the Girl Scouts, the SPCA, Manheim Community Life Group, and entities related to parole, children and youth, health and wellness, and victim and witness services. A school resource officer will present "Dangers of Vaping" inside the Farm Show Complex at 6:30 p.m.

Attendees are encouraged to bring canned food products and personal items to donate to the Manheim Central Food Pantry.
