Bus Trip to Theater Slated

The Friends of the Lititz Public Library will offer a bus trip to see the award-winning Broadway musical "1776" at the Walnut Street Theatre in Philadelphia on Thursday, May 14. The bus will depart from the library, 651 Kissel Hill Road, Lititz, at 9:15 a.m. and return at 7 p.m. Proceeds of the trip will benefit the library.

The Walnut Street Theatre has stood at the corner of Ninth and Walnut Streets in Philadelphia for over 200 years. In "1776," John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, and Thomas Jefferson work toward independence amidst a deadlocked Continental Congress.

The fee includes round-trip motor coach transportation provided by Elite Coach and a ticket to the performance. Time will be available for attendees to purchase lunch on their own in the theater's neighborhood. Menus will be shared on the bus.

Tickets are available for purchase at the Lititz Public Library, 651 Kissel Hill Road, Lititz. They are not available for purchase through the mail or online.
