Three local residents recently received master's degrees from Wilkes University, Wilkes-Barre. The commencement ceremonies were held on May 16.

The local graduates were Lori Kish of East Petersburg, receiving a Master of Science in education; Christy Lam of East Petersburg, Master of Science in Nursing; and Haley Midgley of Mountville, Master of Science in education.
