Three summer bus trips will be offered. A Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island trip on Saturday, June 27, will include transportation, ferry access, and admission to Ellis Island and Liberty Island. A trip to Washington, D.C., will take place on Monday, June 29, and will offer the opportunity to spend the day at the Smithsonian Institute and surrounding areas or take an optional visit to the National Zoo. A Baltimore Inner Harbor trip on Thursday, July 9, will allow attendees to explore sites like the Maryland Science Center and the National Aquarium at their leisure. All three trips will depart from the parking lot of Elizabethtown Area High School, 600 E. High St., Elizabethtown, at 7 a.m. on their respective days.

A Marietta Summer Playground program will run from Monday to Friday, June 15 to Aug. 7, from 9 a.m. to noon at Marietta War Memorial Park, 344 E. Walnut St. There will be no program on Friday, July 3. The program is designed to help children be active in a safe, inclusive, and supportive activity. Playground leaders will create safe, supervised, and fun-filled environments with activities including sports, games, arts and crafts, and nature activities.

A Step Fitness cardio class will be offered on Thursdays, June 4 to July 23, from 6 to 7 p.m. in the gym at the GEARS Community Center, 70 S. Poplar St., Elizabethtown. It is open to people age 16 and up.

An Advanced Skill Camp for pickleball enthusiasts will be held from Monday to Thursday, June 22 to 25, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the outdoor court at the GEARS Community Center. The camp is designed for experienced players age 18 and up who want to refine their technique and elevate their strategy.

An American Red Cross Babysitting Basics course will take place on Wednesday, June 24, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the East Donegal Township Building, 190 Rock Point Road, Marietta. It is designed for youths ages 11 to 16. Participants will gain skills in basic care for children and infants, age-appropriate activities and promoting positive behavior, emergency preparedness, first aid skills, pediatric CPR with certification, and safe practices for being home alone with children. Upon completion, each participant will earn a certificate of completion.
