This is a sweet summer tradition filled with delicious strawberry treats, great conversation and a warm community spirit," said Tony Gibble, describing the LIV-Etown Strawberry Social. "Whether you come for the desserts, the fellowship or simply a relaxing afternoon with friends and neighbors, there's something for everyone."

The sixth annual Strawberry Social will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 14, at Elizabethtown Borough Community Park, 201 S. Mount Joy St.

It will feature live music; numerous games hosted by local organizations, including the Elizabethown Moose Lodge 596/701; free chocolate-covered strawberries provided by Mars Wrigley and Masonic Village Farm Market; and a pie-eating contest hosted by Lethea Myers of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices. A variety of food trucks, including Mocha Motion, Tri-County BBQ, The Donut Guys and East Coast Eatery, will offer tasty treats.

A Strawberry Princess will be crowned, and The Tatted Toy Guys will host a Candy and Toy Toss. Free ice cream will be provided by Figments in Sprinkles while supplies last.

A 60-foot obstacle bounce house, sponsored by Elizabethtown Heating and Cooling, will provide fun for people of all ages, while a magician and other entertainers will also be on-site for the festival.

"The amphitheater stage will be hosted by DJ Jimmy Jam with stage entertainment of Elijah and Esther Myers, E-Dance Center and ExHaLTT Performing Arts Academy," shared Clint Gibble of LIV-Etown.

The Strawberry Social will also include a Makers Market, featuring Lichen & Limestone, Tranquil Tails, The Balunguy and Vapor Artistry, among others. Furry friends will be invited to participate in the Berry Paws Couture Fashion Show as well as the Berry Sweet Peanut Butter Challenge for Dogs. The event will wrap up with The Tatted Toy Guys' Ultimate Water Battle Royale.

"Everything is bigger this year," said Tony. "Enjoy even more vendors in the makers market, plus, in addition to the dog fashion show, check out the brand-new 'Paws in the Patch,' a mini market area just for dogs and their humans." Sponsors of the fashion show and Paws in the Patch are the Pet Care Club of Central PA, Tranquil Tails Wellness and Playful Pups Retreat.

The Strawberry Social is organized by LIV-Etown and sponsored by Ryan Homes: Bear Creek Estates and Klein Mills 55+.
