Presentation and Tours Slated

The Manheim Historical Society will host programs at the Fasig and Keath houses, 30-32 E. High St., Manheim, on July 12.

Master Gardener Joanna Brelvi will present "Fall Vegetable Gardening" at 3 p.m. in the air-conditioned Fasig House. The slideshow presentation will focus on planting fall vegetables in the summer with the aim of enjoying a harvest of vegetables to eat and can through the winter. The program is free of charge. Visitors should note that Fasig House has two steps at the entrance and does not have a ramp.

In addition, tours will be available at both the Fasig and Keath houses from 1 to 3 p.m. A 45-minute historical walking tour will begin at 1:30 p.m., weather-permitting, and participants should sign up 10 minutes beforehand. The house and walking tours will be free of charge, and donations will be accepted. Free parking is available behind the museums.
