Joseph Roach: Abstract Spectrum

Rescheduled for: 08/07/2020

Mulberry Art Studios - Lancaster, PA

21 North Mulberry St, Lancaster, PA 17603

DATE CHANGE!!! NOW OPENING IN AUGUST!

Joseph James Roach: Abstract Spectrum

Abstract Spectrum, 16 year old Joseph James Roach's first solo show, will be on exhibit at Mulberry Art Studios this August. Abstract Spectrum opens with a First Friday Reception on August 7th from 5pm-9pm, and will run throughout the month of August.

The exhibit was originally scheduled for April, since April is Autism awareness month and Joseph wanted to share his work during such an important month- but unfortunately it had to be postponed due to the need to practice social distancing during the coronavirus pandemic.

“I'm Autistic but mostly Artistic," explains Joseph. "I spend hours creating, and everything I create comes out different. I have a passion to see others find their full potential." Joseph's goal is to go to other schools and share with struggling students that if they don't give up amazing things can happen.

Joseph struggled quite a bit himself at school, trying to find his niche. Finally in 8th grade, his art teacher Julia Hibshman at Manheim Central Middle School let him just do his thing. What was at first simply scribbles, soon developed into intricate and eye catching abstract art pieces with the encouragement of Mrs Hibshman. An incredibly prolific artist, Joseph's work grew rapidly into a collection of vibrant pieces that became Abstract Spectrum.

10% of all proceeds will be donated to Aaron's Acres.

Sadsbury Township Historical Society May meeting (Chalfont Mfg. Co.)

Rescheduled for: 04/05/2021

Sadsbury Township Historical Society

Sadsbury Township Municipal Building, , Sadsburyville, PA.
2920 Lincoln Highway, Sadsburyville, PA 19369

I am sorry to announce that we have decided to cancel our May 4th meeting of the Sadsbury Township Historical Society. Although the current Pennsylvania Stay-at-Home order is scheduled to end at the end of April, there is still a lot of uncertainty and speculation that the Stay-at-Home order may be extended. We continue to believe that canceling our meeting at this time is the best way we can show love to our neighbors and to ourselves by truly practicing the social distancing that helps slow the spread of Covid-19. Our previously scheduled April and May speakers have been rescheduled to 2021. Our next scheduled meeting will be June 1st and the speaker will be Bruce Mowday. His topic will be his book, “Stealing Wyeth”. We will continue to monitor the Coronavirus situation and make a final decision about our June meeting around the middle of May.
