What is the mission of VisionCorps Foundation?

Since 1926, VisionCorps has been helping to empower individuals with vision loss to attain independence by providing preventative, rehabilitative, and employment services.

Why is the organization excited to participate in Give Local York this year?

VisionCorps is excited to participate in Give Local York because we would like to build off the enthusiasm of the day to spread the word as to all of the services we provide for individuals of all ages who are dealing with vision loss. Almost of all our services are free of charge to the client and include services like vision screenings for preschool-age children and teaching daily living skills to clients to help them to remain in their homes. We also provide employment opportunities for the underemployed population who are blind.
