What is the mission of York Opioid Collaborative?

The mission of the York Opioid Collaborative is to coordinate efforts in our region to reduce overdose deaths and to minimize the impact of the opioid epidemic in our community through four areas of focus: Prevent, Rescue, Treatment, and Recovery.

Why is the organization excited to participate in Give Local York this year?

Everything we have done as an organization has been in concert with and driven by the needs of our partners and community. The collaborative is a partnership of various community partners working together and the catalyst behind change is the varying backgrounds and expertise these partners bring to the discussion. We are excited to participate in Give Local York because it highlights the neighborhood mentality and the collaborative spirit of York County. It is an also an opportunity to continue to highlight the ongoing need to address the impact of substance use on our community and work together towards solutions.
