Electronic Recycling Program Resumes

Free residential electronics recycling has resumed at the York County Resource Recovery Center, 2651 Blackbridge Road, Manchester Township, effective Jan. 8. The program was suspended on Dec. 9 due to an increase in COVID-19 cases and the need to limit traffic into the facility.

The Electronics Recycling Program is open on Mondays through Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon. York County residents may recycle televisions, computers, and computer peripherals such as printers, keyboards, mice, and monitors. For a full list of items accepted, residents may visit http://www.ycswa.com and click on "Disposal of Waste" and then "Electronics."

Upon arrival, residents will be asked to provide their name and address. In accordance with the governor's order, residents must wear a mask or face covering to enter the facility and must distance themselves at least 6 feet from other people. Residents will be asked to place electronics on a cart, and workers will unload them.
