BRK Announces Fecik's Retirement

B.R. Kreider & Son Inc. (BRK), an excavating, paving and site management company based in Manheim and Quarryville, recently announced the retirement of Michael Fecik, executive vice president and CFO, effective on Friday, Jan. 29.

Fecik joined BRK in 1996 as controller. In 2000, he was promoted to vice president of finance. From 2005 through 2014, he held the dual roles of president and CFO. Since 2015, he has acted as both executive vice president and CFO.

In addition, Fecik navigated BRK through the challenging economic landscape of the years leading up to 2010 and earned the Turnaround Specialist Award in 2015 from Pennsylvania financial industry leaders. His analytical skills enabled BRK to maintain a high level of customer service while preserving employee jobs.

Fecik is a member of the Airplane Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), a member of the national Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA), a member of the Elizabethtown Family Business Center CEO Group, assistant treasurer of Pennsylvania Dutch Council of Boy Scouts of America and treasurer for the Lancaster International Piano Festival.

A graduate of Spring Garden College in Philadelphia, Fecik is a member of St. John Neumann Church and resides in Manheim Township with his wife, Deborah. They have two adult sons, Michael II and Jonathan.
