Eastern Lancaster County Library (ELANCO Library), 11 Chestnut Drive, New Holland, will celebrate Love Your Library Month in February by sponsoring a Share the Love program. Love Your Library Month is an initiative to encourage residents to invest in their local libraries.

Share the Love is similar to the idea of paying it forward. Through Sunday, Feb. 28, community members can come into the library and help to pay a child's fine. Donors can choose any amount, and that amount will go toward paying a child's fine on his or her account. The child will be selected randomly, and the donation will be completely anonymous.

Sometimes a fine can deter families from coming back into the library. This program is intended to help encourage children and their families to continue using the library.
