Students Honored For Musical Skills

During the pandemic, the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association has continued to provide opportunities for student-musicians through virtual auditions to various honor ensembles.

A school-record 16 Lower Dauphin High School vocalists earned spots through virtual auditions in PMEA's District 7 Choir. They are sopranos Sophia Ditty, Christianna Harchuska, and Cadence Kanode; altos Dale Sanders, Ali Rankin, Audrey Meyers, and Abbie Carter; tenors Jacob Pegher, Jack Wolfe, Josh Given, and Nathan Wolfe; and basses Caiden Covell, Tristan McQuiddy, Conor Grubb, Donovan McDonald, and Aden Weigle.

Qualifying via virtual audition for the PMEA District 7 Orchestra was Joseph Goduto, viola. Additionally, McQuiddy, clarinet, also qualified for the PMEA District 7 Band.
