Vendor And Craft Show Will Spotlight Local Businesses

It may be winter, but spring is just around the corner. The Spring Roses Vendor and Craft Show will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 6, at the Manheim Community Farm Show Exhibition Hall, 502 E. Adele Ave. More than 25 vendors will offer a range of products and services, said Janessa Diffenderfer, host of the event.

"We have been doing this event since 2018," she noted. "We started this event as a way of connecting small businesses within the community and providing the community a chance to see and support those small businesses."

Vendors at the show will include Pampered Chef, Usborne Books, Thirty-One Gifts, Mary Kay, Perfectly Posh, Norwex, and other direct-sales companies. Local small businesses and artisans will offer handmade clothing, gifts, and accessories as well as pottery, lithophanes, and artwork. DLT Farms will offer local meats. Food will be available for eat-in or takeout, including options for breakfast and lunch, ready-made soups and sides, and a make-your-own whoopie pie bar as well as other desserts.

The featured fundraiser for the event will be Teen Central, a ministry that offers after-school and outreach programs for local youths. The organization will be selling hot beverages and muffins as well as T-shirts and sweatshirts.

"This benefits Teen Central in helping them become more known in the community and helping to promote their after-school programs for youths and more," Diffenderfer explained. "They are given the vendor space at no cost as part of the fundraiser, and they will be accepting donations in addition to the items they have for sale. We have chosen to work with them because we believe in the work they are doing."

She said everyone is welcome to the vendor and craft show, which offers a chance to get out of the house and support the community. She added, "I would encourage everyone to stop by and see what businesses and artisans are in their local communities and to see what unique items or products might pique their interests."
