North Group Consultants has announced the first step in its generational transition plan under the theme "Taking Our Own Medicine."

North Group is an organizational health and leadership development firm which helps organizations grow in addition to helping them through various kinds of transition, including generational. These aims are accomplished through leadership and team development, organizational assessment, succession planning, hiring and mergers and acquisitions.

The most common client engagement for North Group revolves around generational transition. Whether privately-owned, family-owned or nonprofit, organizations that care about the continuity of their mission into the future must address the challenge of transition.

Founded by Roger North in 1997, North Group has grown into a team of 20 professionals serving clients throughout central Pennsylvania and beyond. Over time, North has assembled a partner team that includes Daryl Leisey, Jerry Murray, Craig Schloneger and Brian Black. North and these four partners now form the North Group Consultants board of directors.

The newly constituted board of directors has initiated the generational transition plan by appointing North as chief executive officer and Murray as president.

Murray joined North Group in 2009 as partner and senior consultant. With a bachelor's degree in accounting and a background in finance, he will use his financial and operations experience to help leaders and their organizations embrace abundant living within the framework of organizational life.

The board of directors has also invited Gina Breslin and Joshua Keefer as shareholders in the firm. Breslin has been employed with North Group Consultants since 2010. She grew up in a family business of diversified holdings through which she learned team insights and decision-making and entrepreneurial skills that can be used to propel businesses forward. Breslin holds a bachelor's degree in education from Eastern Mennonite University and is a 2014 graduate of Leadership Lancaster.

Keefer joined North Group in 2017 and has served in roles in business, nonprofit leadership and ministry. He received a bachelor's degree in business administration from Elizabethtown College. His professional experience includes operations management, coaching, executive leadership and sales.
