Church To Sell Chocolate Eggs

Seven Sorrows Catholic Church in Middletown is again selling chocolate eggs through Easter Sunday, April 4, or as long as supplies last. This year's sale is limited to the varieties that the church normally sells the most of: peanut butter milk chocolate, peanut butter dark chocolate, coconut dark chocolate, and butter cream milk chocolate. The hand-dipped eggs will be sold for a fee per egg.

The eggs have received regional recognition through various media outlets. In 2019, nearly 81,000 eggs were sold through businesses, through direct orders, and at Seven Sorrows Parish. Roughly 6,000 pounds of peanut butter, 870 pounds of butter/margarine, and 4,320 pounds of chocolate were used by more than 80 volunteers working over four months.

Orders may be placed by visiting http://www.ssbvm.org and clicking on "Eggs." Those ordering eggs must select a pickup time and location, and choices will include the parish's weekly drive-through fish fry. All eggs will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis while quantities last.
