Radiothon To Raise Funds For Food Bank

The Central Pennsylvania Food Bank is teaming with Cumulus Media for the St. Patrick's Day Give Green Radiothon, a one-day live event on Wednesday, March 17. All Cumulus stations in Harrisburg, York and Lancaster will be involved.

Donations will help the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank acquire and distribute food in the large quantities it needs to meet the increased demand during the COVID-19 pandemic and feed thousands of food-insecure families, children, seniors and veterans in local communities. The Central Pennsylvania Food Bank serves more than 200,000 individuals each month through its network of 1,000 partner agencies and programs. Many local residents are visiting food pantries for the first time in the wake of the pandemic and its economic effects.

The St. Patrick's Day Give Green Radiothon is sponsored by Lancaster County Motors.

Participating radio station websites will have a link to donate, as will http://www.centralpafoodbank.org. Readers may also donate by texting PAFOOD to 243725.
