4-H Club Plans Meeting

The Rough Riders 4-H Horse and Pony Club will hold an in-person reorganizational meeting on Thursday, April 1, at 6:30 p.m. at West Lampeter Fairgrounds, 851 Village Road, Lampeter. Masks are required and social distancing and other COVID safety measures will be observed. Attendees must be COVID-19 symptom free for two weeks prior to the meeting.

This meeting is for youths who would like to join 4-H and for returning members. The club also strongly recommends that parents of first-time members attend. Preregistration for the meeting is required to ensure space and safety regulations are met. Participants should dress for the weather as the meeting will be held outdoors. It is suggested that families bring their own chairs or blankets to sit on. Owning a horse is not required to be a 4-H horse club member.

At the meeting, the Rough Riders 4-H Horse Club will offer an equine massage demonstration, work in teen leader groups on equine knowledge activities and hold its monthly business meeting led by the officers.

To preregister for the meeting or for more information, contact Jen Landis, Rough Riders 4-H Horse Club organizational leader, at 717-572-2340 or jen@schwalms.com. Additionally, online registration in the Pennsylvania 4-H enrollment system, zSuite, is required for all 4-H members by Wednesday, March 31.
