Arts Alliance Plans Exhibits

The Oxford Arts Alliance, 38 S. Third St., Oxford, will reopen for in-person art exhibitions on Friday, April 16, with a three-day sale of artwork by C.X. Carlson and Luigi Rist. Each artist's one-of-a-kind and historic artwork will be for sale on April 16 from 4 to 8 p.m. and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 17, and Sunday, April 18. Carlson's and Rist's artwork will be available to view until Friday, May 7.

Carlson and his wife settled in Lancaster in 1947, which went on to inspire him for decades. He established the Octoraro Art Association in 1948. Rist was an American printmaker whose unique contribution to printmaking lay in combining traditional Japanese woodcut methods with his own unique ingenuity.

A solo exhibition, "Between Night and Day" by Francine Renee Schneider, will open from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 14. The exhibition aligns with the Chester County Studio Tour, which will take place on Saturday, May 15, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sunday, May 16, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. "Between Night and Day" will be available to view until Friday, May 28.
