Christ United Methodist Church Yorkana, 5 Main St., Yorkana, will host a Cruisin' Night and Malt Shop community event on Saturday, May 1.

From 4 to 7 p.m., attendees may visit a car and tractor show outside the church and then come inside to visit the old-time Malt Shop. Attendees may vote for their favorite vehicle in the car and tractor show. Call 717-757-3998 for details about showing a vehicle. Ice cream, shakes, hamburgers, hot dogs, fries, and more will be available to purchase at the Malt Shop for nominal prices.

The chicken barbecue will be held from 8 a.m. until sold out. Each meal will include a half-chicken, a baked potato, a roll, and applesauce. To purchase tickets, call Deb at 717-968-4235.

Happy Times Preschool will hold an open house from 4 to 8 p.m. upstairs in the Children's Department/preschool rooms. Director Mindi Hauck will give tours and answer questions.
