Center To Host Outdoor Events

Governor Dick Environmental Center, 3283 Pinch Road, Mount Gretna, will offer two events in early May. Programs are open to the public, but preregistration is required by contacting 717-964-3808 or governordick@hotmail.com and providing a name and phone number. Attendees should meet at the Environmental Center.

The 120-Minute Challenge will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 1. Participants will spend 60 minutes on their own and 60 minutes on a guided hike. A fee will be charged.

Music on the Porch will return on Sunday, May 2, from 1 to 4 p.m. The public is welcome to join the bluegrass jam and sing-along. The event is free. Attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair.

On Sunday, May 9, a Wildflower Wellness Walk will take place at 2 p.m. Participants will be able to enjoy a walk among the spring flowers and learn some of their natural history. There is a fee.
