Horn Farm Sets Plant Sale

The Horn Farm Center for Agricultural Education, 4945 Horn Road, York, will host its ninth annual plant sale on Saturday, May 1, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Grown using organic and regenerative methods, a wide variety of vegetable, herb, and flower starts will be available for purchase. Last year's event was conducted via contactless pickup, but this year, customers can shop for plants on site. Plants at the sale are grown by three local farm partners: the Horn Farm, the Kilgore Family Farm, and Betsy's Flowers.

The plant sale will also feature local vendors Susquehanna Sustainable Enterprises, Rebel Garden Tools, Firefly Hollow Holistic Wellness Center, Rising Locust Farm, and the Hellam Township Environmental Advisory Committee.

Visitors are asked to bring face masks and wear them when social distancing is not possible during the event. Hand sanitizer and disinfectant will be available on site. There is a fee per plant. All proceeds will support local, regenerative farming practices and education at the Horn Farm Center.
