Library To Host Book Sale, Gratitude Program

The Friends of the Lititz Public Library will hold a book sale at the library, 651 Kissel Road, Lititz, on Friday, May 21, and Saturday, May 22, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. On Saturday, a buck-a-bag sale will start at noon.

Attendees may browse a variety of items, which will be sorted into categories. The sale will include adult fiction, nonfiction, and children's books. An individually priced selection of books, including those of higher quality and those on special topics, will be available. Other media to be offered includes audiobooks, DVDs, and CDs.

Mask wearing, social distancing, and crowd size limitations will be enforced.

All proceeds from the sale will benefit the Lititz Public Library. For more information, call 717-626-2255 or visit the library.

Additionally, during May, the Lititz Public Library is partnering with Kinetic by Windstream in a program called A Million Thanks. Community members may stop in the library to write a thank you note for U.S. military member or veterans and place it in the drop-off box.

Founded in 2004, A Million Thanks provides support and appreciation to active-duty and veteran military men and women through sending letters and granting betterment of life wishes, as well as providing higher education scholarships to military members' and veterans' children.
