Club Honors Students Of The Month

Lancaster Sunrise Rotary Club has recognized seniors Sam Haines and Devika Krishna as the Manheim Township High School Students of the Month for April. They were selected for their school and community activities, leadership and achievements.

Haines' favorite subject is economics. He is the committee chair of Mini-THON, the president of Lions Leo Club and a member of National Honor Society and Cyber Seniors. He is the website developer for Manheim Township Historical Society and the founder and technician for ComputerCompanions.net, which provides senior citizens with digital services. Haines received a Leo award for distinguished leadership and community service as well as a Manheim Township High School perseverance award.

Krishna's favorite subjects are economics, psychology and math. She is a member of Key Club, Link Crew, Model United Nations and National Honor Society. She is an onboarding lead for the My Vote Project and a summer club volunteer, and she helped organize a TEDxYouth event in Lancaster. Krishna was a Commended Student in the 2021 National Merit Scholarship competition.

Lancaster Sunrise Rotary Club meets on Thursdays from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. via Zoom video conferencing.
