Animal House Project dba Chester County Pet Food Pantry is a charitable, all-volunteer organization founded in East Fallowfield Township. Each year, the organization helps people feed and care for their companion pets in order to keep them out of shelters and rescues. The pantry's clients include retired military personnel, senior citizens, victims of domestic violence, single parents and patients with cancer, Parkinson's disease or Alzheimer's disease. The pantry serves clients in Chester, Berks and Montgomery counties.

Pet food distributions take place at the pantry's location in North Coventry Township at 1055 S. Hanover St., Pottstown, on the first Saturday of each month from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. "It's a drive-through right now. People don't get out, and we load their cars," Yannessa explained.

In addition to pet food, the organization provides spaying, neutering and low-cost vaccination of pantry clients' pets.

Yannessa noted that the pantry is always in need of financial donations, pet food donations and volunteers willing to work at events and on distribution days. In addition, an outdoor bin is located at the site for those who would like to drop off donations of dog and cat food.
