Bird-in-Hand Family Fun Fest Planned

Bird-in-Hand Family of Properties will hold its first Fun Fest, rain or shine, on Saturday, July 24, from 3 to 9 p.m. at the Bird-in-Hand events field located along Old Philadelphia Pike (Route 340) across from the Bird-in-Hand Family Inn. The event will celebrate the Lancaster County lifestyle with local vendors, games and activities for the whole family, food and entertainment.

Outdoor activities, including tethered balloon rides, a bounce house, wagon rides, pedal cars and a corn maze, will open the event at 3 p.m. A Makers' Market will also be open, where shoppers can browse and buy wares from local artisans and other vendors.

A catered country picnic will be held at 4:30 p.m., featuring pulled pork sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs and more from the Bird-in-Hand Family Restaurant. Artisan ice cream and baked goods will also be available for purchase.

Live entertainment will begin at 6:30 p.m. Entertainment will include international juggler and jokester Niels Duinker, fresh from a three-year run in Pigeon Forge, and ventriloquist and comedy act Ryan & Friends, with a new character plus excerpts from this summer's show on the Bird-in-Hand Stage.

The event will conclude at 8:30 p.m. with a bonfire, featuring s'mores and campfire treats, while supplies last.
