Oxford United Methodist Church, 18 Addison St., will sponsor two community events.

An ice cream social, scheduled for Monday, Aug. 23, from 7 to 8 p.m., will include ice cream for all guests. There is no charge for this event.

An American Red Cross blood drive will be available on Fridays, Aug. 13 and Sept. 3, and Wednesdays, Aug. 25 and Sept. 29. To schedule an appointment, visit http://www.redcrossblood.org or call 800-733-2767. Walk-ins may be accepted.
