Lititz Public Library, 651 Kissel Hill Road, Lititz, will offer a variety of programs and activities to the public. Unless otherwise noted, no registration is required. For details, contact 717-626-2255 or register@lititzlibrary.org or visit http://www.lititzlibrary.org.

The library will be closed on Monday, Sept. 6, for Labor Day.

A fundraiser to benefit the library will take place on Thursday, Sept. 2, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Lititz Isaac's Restaurant, 4 Trolley Run Road, or 4 Crosswinds Road for a GPS. Fifteen percent of the cost of participants' meals will benefit the library. Donation vouchers are available at the library or on the library website, but supporters do not need to have a voucher in hand.

The voucher can be used for takeout, online, catering, or gift card ordering. Enter "Fund" in the box on the payment page for online orders. When placing takeout orders, customers should let the Isaac's team member know they are part of the library's fundraiser.

Ongoing programs will include Morning Yoga every Monday at 9 a.m. beginning Sept. 13, for adults and teens; a Knitting Class for Beginners every Tuesday from Aug. 31 through Sept. 28 from 6 to 8 p.m., with registration required; Astronomy Enthusiasts of Lancaster County on Wednesday, Sept. 1, at 6:30 p.m.; Painting Club at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesdays, Sept. 8 and 22; the Great Decisions Discussion Group on Sept. 8 at 6:30 p.m.; Newcomers and Neighbors Book Club on Thursday, Sept. 16, at 12:30 p.m.; and the Literary Travelers Book Club on Friday, Sept. 17, at 10 a.m.

Also, the Knitting Club, for knitters and crocheters, at 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 20; Jane Austen Society on Tuesday, Sept. 21, at 6:30 p.m.; Buckhill Sleuths Book Club - Lititz Location at 2 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 27, at 2 p.m.; and Lititz Art Association, Tuesday, Sept. 28, at 6:30 p.m. The BYOB - Bring Your Own Book (Club), which is for adults and requires registration, will meet on Thursday, Sept. 30, at 2 p.m.; registration will open on Sept. 16.

Fountain Pen Foibles: The Impossible Quest for the Perfect Pen will be held via Zoom on Thursday, Sept. 2, at 6:30 p.m. Pen-and-paper enthusiast Kathryn Raynor will share a brief history of fountain pens, information about some authors and their favorites pens, a comparison of fountain and ballpoint pens, and the pros and cons of three beginner pens. A question-and-answer session will be included. Registration is required.

The Knotwork Band will present a concert in the library's backyard on Saturday, Sept. 18, at 1:30 p.m. The trio performs Celtic folk music, both traditional and modern, on a wide variety of instruments, including fiddles, flutes, mandolins, Irish bouzouki, guitars, hurdy-gurdy, bodhrans, bones, and vocals. In the case of rain, the event will take place inside and seating will be limited.

The library will host Fall Film and Fun Fest - Movie and a Take-Away Craft on Thursday, Sept. 23, at 1:30 p.m. The movie will be "You've Got Mail," which has a PG rating. Space is limited, and registration is required and will begin on Thursday, Sept. 9.

Registration for the Fall Backyard Storytime is now available through SignUpGenius. The first story time will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 7.

Community members are invited to enjoy the StoryWalk at the Lititz Public Library at their convenience. The title for September and October will be "Love Monster and the Last Chocolate" by Rachel Bright. The StoryWalk begins on Kissel Hill Road.
