Veritas Community Posts New Meeting Space

The Veritas Community will begin gathering at HUB 450, 450 N. Prince St., Lancaster, on Sunday, Sept. 5. HUB 450 is part of the Eastern Mennonite Missions offices, and Veritas will meet on the second floor each Sunday at 10:30 a.m.

Veritas' previous meeting space, The Community Room on King in downtown Lancaster, is no longer available for the organization to use. For the past four months, Veritas has been meeting weekly at the pavilion at Buchanan Park.

The vision of Veritas is "desiring the Kingdom of God to become tangible," and it has the mission of "being family, pursuing truth with honest expression, as we follow Jesus into the margins."

The first and third Sundays of the month will continue to center around being family together. These gatherings typically includes brunch, sharing and praying together, and getting to know each other's stories. The second Sunday of the month centers around pursuing truth with honest expression and typically includes musical worship, prayer, a message, and small group discussion. The fourth Sunday of the month, which focuses on following Jesus into the margins, usually includes discussion and opportunities to participate with God in His mission in the places where attendees live, work, and play.
