A recent article stated that Friends of the Force will be purchasing new patrol cars for the West Lampeter Police Department (WLPD) this year. The Friends of the Force will not be purchasing two brand new patrol cars for the township; instead, patrol cars are paid through the township's budget.

West Lampeter Township will purchase two new patrol cars for the WLPD later this year. The Friends of the Force will assist by reimbursing the township for replacing any hardware from the old units that is not adaptable to the new vehicles with new hardware.
