LBC President To Serve Athletic Conference

Lancaster Bible College | Capital Seminary & Graduate School (LBC) president Thomas L. Kiedis was recently named to the executive committee of the newly renamed United East Conference, formerly known as the North Eastern Athletic Conference.

Kiedis, named the Presidents' Council vice chair, will serve a two-year term that began this summer, joining Gallaudet University president Roberta Cordano, who stepped into the role of Presidents' Council chair. After serving two years as vice chair, Kiedis will become the committee chair.

The United East Board of Athletic Directors also welcomed Penn State Harrisburg's Rahsaan Carlton as the new chair after Carlton spent the past two years as vice chair. Carlton stepped in for former LBC athletic director Pete Beers, who transitioned to the role of interim vice president for traditional undergraduate education at the college.

The United East includes nine NCAA Division III member institutions: Gallaudet University, Lancaster Bible College, State University of New York at Morrisville, Penn College, Penn State Abington, Penn State Berks, Penn State Harrisburg, St. Mary's College of Maryland and Wells College. The United East also includes three associate members in men's golf, namely Rosemont College, Rutgers University - Camden and Wilson College. It has partnered with the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference in men's and women's lacrosse and the North Atlantic Conference in men's and women's tennis.
