Children's Choir To Begin Season

The Grandview Sings! Community Children's Choir will begin its eighth season on Monday, Sept. 27, and membership is open to all local children in grades one through five. The choir will meet on Mondays from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Grandview Church, 888 Pleasure Road, Lancaster.

The choir sings sacred and secular music from various traditions and performs in public concerts at the church and in the community. Singers do not need to be affiliated with the church to participate in the community choir. Allan Dutton and Mark Wagner, both retired public school music teachers, direct and accompany the choir.

Throughout the choir season, recommendations of the national choral community, local schools, and the CDC will be monitored. Rehearsals will be held outside when weather permits, and each choir member will be given a mask designed specifically for young singers.

The Grandview Sings! Community Children's Choir was established in September 2013 to reach out to the community and provide opportunities for children who enjoy expressing themselves through singing. For more information, new singers may contact Grandview Church at 717-394-6887 or visit http://www.grandviewlancaster.org.
