Geyers United Methodist Church (UMC), 1605 S. Geyers Church Road, Middletown, invites the community to its annual Trunk or Treat on Wednesday, Oct. 20, at 6:30 p.m.

Children and youths from toddlers through middle school are invited to dress in costume and bring a bag along to collect treats.

A Trunk or Treat will be held in the church's upper parking lot. More than 25 cars with decorated trunks are expected to be on-site, and the children may visit them to receive candy or a small toy. Members of Boy Scout Troop 97 will continue an annual tradition by dressing up and decorating their trailer.

Londonderry Fire Company and the ambulance crew will once again be on hand with fire trucks as well as a decorated ambulance. The Londonderry Fire Police will assist with parking and pedestrian safety.

The children and their families will be given a to-go meal when they visit the last trunk in the parking lot. The meal will include a hot dog, bagged snack, dessert and beverage. The church will not serve food inside the church building this year.

The event will be held rain or shine.
