Bethany Presbyterian Church, 25 N. West End Ave., Lancaster, will hold its annual fall basement sale on Saturday, Oct. 23, from 8 a.m. to noon.

The sale will fill two large rooms. Featured items will include a variety of household goods, small appliances and furniture, linens, luggage, collectibles, toys, puzzles, and home and holiday decor. Homemade chicken corn soup, chili, and baked goods will be available for takeout.

Shoppers can enter through the front basement stairs or via the ramp in the rear. Parking is available in the back. Proceeds from the sale will be donated to the Lancaster Public Library.

In conjunction with the sale, Boy Scout Troop 4, which is sponsored by the church, will hold a chicken barbecue from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Separate costs have been set for dinners and for half-chickens. Meals will be available for takeout only, and pickup will be in the rear parking lot.
