The Hershey Rotary Club presented the 2021 Packy Award to Susan Steadman of Hershey at a club luncheon in September. The award is given annually by the club to an individual who exemplifies the Rotary motto, "Service Above Self."

Steadman has been an active member of the Hershey Rotary Club since 1992. In 2012, she became chair of the club's Rotary Youth Exchange committee and has continued in that role ever since. As committee chair, Steadman manages the overall program, welcomes incoming exchange students from around the world, identifies and orients host families for the students, maintains an active connection throughout the year with the outbound students, and documents the necessary paperwork required by Rotary International and the U.S. State Department for these exchange students.

Steadman has also volunteered with the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank for a number of years.
